Where it began.
It Started at Home
Before it became a brand, it was simply part of our life.
Miya Tails began around the same spaces we lived in. Fabrics were cut, pieces were adjusted, and early ideas were shaped beside the companions they were made for.
What started as making something for them slowly became a habit of noticing more — how they move, what they tolerate, what they avoid, and what seems to let them simply be.
Living together came before designing for them.
A Different Question
What does it mean to design for a life that isn’t ours?
They cannot tell us what feels too heavy, what sits awkwardly, what overwhelms them, or what they would rather live without.
So we learned to pay attention.
Observation comes before intervention.

Miya Tails was founded in Kedah, Malaysia, and continues to be shaped alongside the family and companions who were there from the beginning.
The work moves between everyday life and design — observing, making, testing, adjusting, and sometimes starting again.
Because designing for companions is never only about making something beautiful. It is about noticing what allows them to remain comfortably themselves.
